Ragging case against Nirmal Madhav

 The Cheruthuruthy police have registered a case against Nirmal Madhav, a final year student of Mechanical Engineering course at Malabar College of Engineering and Technology, Desamangalam, who faces charges of ragging a junior student.

 On the basis of a complaint by Sadiq, 19, a second-year graduate student, the college had appointed a three-member commission to investigate the allegations.

 According to the complaint, Nirmal Madhav had assaulted and threatened Sadiq several times. Nirmal Madhav had joined the Malabar College of Engineering and Technology after he was forced to leave the Government Engineering College, Kozhikode, following a prolonged and violent protest by the SFI.
