Jaipur ragging victim dies

JAIPUR: A student of a private college, who was injured during an alleged incident of ragging last month, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday

at a hospital here, police said.

Three of the accused involved in the incident are already in police custody, the police said.

The deceased was identified as Ashok Karol belonging to the Meena Community and was a first year student, they said.

Demanding registration of a criminal case against the school administration, scores of students belonging to the community protested outside the mortuary and refused to take the body.

Further investigation into the incident was on. Karol was injured during a ragging incident on September 12 and had been in ICU of SMS hospital since then.
