The demographic dividend of India lies in its youth which is reported to outlive that of China, making India the most powerful prosperous country in the world. However, we are not encashing this appropriately, instead we find our best minds, humiliated, mistreated and crushed by senseless actions in the garb of ragging which may scar them for life.
Recently, with the sheer number of incidences and awareness spread resulting in new laws being enacted, we find that for the first time there is a turning of the tide against ragging.
Security Watch India (SWI) is proud to introduce an emergency alarm system which may help prevent, contain, and possibly save people from the consequence from this mindless menace.
EyeWatch, this emergency alarm system is expected to give real time direct and instant coverage of any untoward incident faced by the students, including visual and audio proof through his/her mobile phone. It is hoped that this will help not only in curbing this menace but also give proof to the various agencies to take suitable action against perpetrator under the new law.
With the help of those who have spear headed this movement, SWI is very pleased to present the preview of movie “Hostel”, a film on ragging, directed by Mr. Manish Gupta, at our round table discussion - "Fight for Life, Right for Life - Anti-Ragging: Awareness, Action Plan and Technical Solution” on December 31, 2010 between 11:00 am to 2:00pm at 2nd Floor, Shangri – La, Eros Corporate Tower, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
