Kalyani (WB), Sep 4 (PTI) A 22-year-old polytechnic student, undergoing psychological treatment after a ragging incident, was allegedly beaten to death today by attendants of the rehabilitation centre in Nadia district.
According to police, guardians of Supriyo Chatterjee has claimed that he was beaten to death by the attendants of the 'Life Foundation', a de-addiction cum rehabilitation centre run by an NGO, where the body was undergoing treatment for a physiological disorder.
Police said the deceased father, Chanchal Chatterjee, has lodged a complaint that his son was killed by the NGO attendants after which two persons were detained for interrogation.
Agitated over the incident, the family members allegedly ransacked the office of the NGO.
