VARANASI: Nursing students at BHU have accused their seniors of ragging them, despite the institute taking stringent action against students indulging in such practice. The complaint was made to authorities by freshers of the School of Nursing at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, on Sunday, a senior official of the university said on Monday.
The freshers alleged "they were taught manners" by their seniors on the evening of September 4 at the Florence Nightangle Hostel on the BHU campus for nursing students.
"The matter is being investigated and if found true, strict action will be taken in this regard," the official said. Earlier, two incidents of ragging were reported in BHU in the current session and accused students slapped with a fine of Rs 50,000 each.
