Puducherry Oct 24 The management of the Puducherry Engineering College has suspended 11 senior students from the hostel for alleged ragging and `indiscipline`.
A top college official told PTI today that there were reports that a section of senior students in the hostel had clashed with some juniors as a result of ragging in the hostel yesterday.
The hostel authorities had taken immediate step to suspend the seniors to restore discipline.
Making it clear that the senior students were suspended from the hostel only, the official said only after enquiry through a committee would any course of action be decided. He maintained that the college would brook no indiscipline in the institution.
