BITM students ragged at gunpoint by seniors

Bhopal: Students of Bhopal Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) have filed a police case against their seniors for ragging and beating them up on Monday. The police have registered a case of assault against the accused.

Santosh Kushwaha, Prashasnt Singh, Vikky, and Sudhir Kushwaha, all BE first year students, say that they were forced by their senior Sikandar Singh and his friends at gunpoint into accompanying them to his house where they were ragged and beaten up by more than 10 students.

Santosh and his friends, who live at Sant Asharam Nagar, said that they were invited by Sikandar over telephone to a party at his house in BHEL Sangam Colony on Monday night which they declined.

However, Sikandar, along with Sudhir, Nirbhay and Aryan went to their house, forced them into opening the door by smashing the window glass, and made them accompany him to his home.

All the seniors were reported to be in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident.
