3 booked for ragging in Haryana

Three students have been booked for assaulting a youth, who was allegedly stabbed and ragged outside a college campus, said the police on Tuesday.

A case has been registered under various sections of the IPC against the three students of Khalsa College for allegedly stabbing Daler Singh outside the college campus when he had gone there to seek admission to a postgraduate course, they said.

Singh was admitted to hospital with stab wounds. In his complaint, Singh, who did his graduation from the same college, alleged that he and two of his companions were asked to remove their trousers in front of girl students.“A case for allegedly stabbing and beating has been registered against the trio,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishan Hooda said.

College Principal Ravinder Kaur, however, told reporters that no incident of ragging had taken place inside the college premises.
