[ToI] Mumbai-based engineering student hangs himself

CHIPLUN: A Mumbai-based engineering student allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room by hanging himself, police said on Monday.
The 21-year old, pursuing his engineering degree from Mandar Education Society College took the extreme step on Sunday night after he locked himself in the room, they said.
The incident came to light when his hostel mates gave him a call for dinner and did not receive a response, following which the door was broke open to find him hanging from the fan, police said adding that a case of ragging cannot be ruled out.
